'Life of Pi' suffers another blow

That this project remains active in any respect is at least partly thanks to the devotion of Fox 2000 chief Elizabeth Gabler, that has been hugely thinking about a "Pi" film.
Gabler includes a fair amount of clout within Fox, and Fox 2000 has become highly profitable for that studio with other midbudget bookbased movies, like "Marley Me" and "The Devil Wears Prada." But those films, of course, had commercial hooks.
